A Great Cruise App

icruise appA while ago I discovered a great little app for my iPhone.  This app has versions for the iPad and for Android phones so no one will be left out.  It’s called Cruise Finder and was created by the people at iCruise.com, a cruise-only Travel Agent out of Delray Beach Florida.  This app has some great features.

In a nutshell, the app allows you to search over 12,000 cruise itineraries using various criteria. You can start your search by using destination, departure month, departure port, cruise line, or even cruise ship.  The search criteria includes over over 25 destinations, 220 ships, and 20 cruise lines to choose from.

In addition to the search feature, you can browse deck plans, staterooms and suites, look up information about any cruise ship, read cruise news, find directions to ports, get weather information for the ports, and search for cruise deals.

Since this app is put out by a cruise travel agent you can get quotes on any cruise that interests you and they even have a button to call them to talk to someone to help you book or answer your questions.  But even if you have your own travel agent that you use, you can still use this app as a search to narrow down your choices.

One of my favorite features of this app is that once you find a cruise you’re interested in, you can add it to your favorites and “track it”, telling them to send you updates on prices for the cruise. In the favorites it gives you the number of months/days/hours until that cruise sets sail. Basically it’s a nice little countdown calendar for you if you have already booked it.

There are options to share your findings on the Facebook or Twitter, or you can send the information in an email to someone.

But probably the best thing about this app is that it’s totally FREE so you can try it out and, in the unlikely event that you don’t like it, delete it without losing a single penny. Not bad!

Here is a link to their website page for this app…
