Celebrating a Special Occasion on Your Cruise

Taking a cruise is a great getaway whether it’s just the two of you, or you’re part of a big group getting together to share your vacation.  Most people that take cruises are just enjoying some traveling time away from work or the routine of life for awhile, but another way to live it up on the seas is to celebrate an important event on the ship.

Due to the fun nature of cruises, cruise ships crews are happy to help you celebrate any special occasion onboard their ship, and cruise lines offer packages for special occasions that you can purchase.

Some of the popular occasions that people celebrate include:

– Birthdays

– Anniversaries

– Reunions

– Engagements

– Renewal of vows

– Honeymoons and 2nd honeymoons

– Graduation (High School or College)

– Retirement

– Spring Break

– Just Because

– Holidays (New Years, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc.)

– Annual events for clubs and groups

You can also get married on a cruise ship.  Most cruise lines offer wedding packages starting at around $2,000 and the best thing is, when your wedding is over, you’re already on your honeymoon.

The wedding packages can include everything, the ceremony, flowers, music, photographer, wedding coordinator, cake and champagne, food, and even witnesses if you need them.  You can have them provide your tux if you want, and they’ll even arrange a bridal shower.  There is a base price, which includes the basics, and there are many add-ons so you can make your wedding as simple or elaborate as you want.  Maybe you want a pianist or a guitarist to play; maybe you want a wine toast for everyone, whatever you want they can arrange it for you.  And of course, the spa can get you ready for your big day.

Even if this cruise is not a special occasion for you and your significant other, they’ll help you add a little romance to your life with a romance package.  For example, I found this package offered on the P&O website:
